Marc Maron Almost Famous
Marc Maron Almost Famous. The film is semi-autobiographical, as Crowe himself was a teenage writer for Rolling Stone. A legend in the stand-up community, he has appeared on HBO, Conan, Letterman, his two Comedy Central Presents specials and almost every show that allows comics to perform.
I think this is because Marc Maron is a male comedian, a largely repellent class of people. And who could forget the late Phillip Seymour Hoffman dropping pearls of cynicism, a perfect contrast with (and sometimes. Teenage writer William Miller (Patrick Fugit) goes on tour across America with a band called Stillwater and gets to see and live the Rock lifestyle while attempting to achieve his other dream to get a cover story for Rolling Stone magazine.
Marc tells us all about the pants his character wears, how his scene has now since established a catchprhase in the intro of his popular podcast "WTF with Marc Maron," and why this role fits just.

Also I'm gay, so I think he was just an unexpected. The performances are pitch perfect- from Patrick Fugit's William Miller, to Kate Hudson's Penny Lane, all the way through to the Marc Maron cameo that I only JUST noticed during my most recent (fiftieth?) screening. Marc Maron isn't famous, but he should be.
