The Magic Flute, or Die Zauberflöte, was one of the few operas by Mozart set to a German libretto.
Mozart also composed a number of symphonies and sonatas.
Many of these compositions are acknowledged as pinnacles of the symphonic. Leopold Mozart is primarily known as the father and mentor of his son Wolfgang, but he was a composer of importance in his own right. Mozart wrote music for a variety of genres, including opera and symphony orchestra.
